They walked from West and Central Africa in one of the great human migrations of all time. The Bantu-speaking peoples crossed forests, rivers and mountains, carrying with them something that would change Africa forever: iron. With iron tools they could clear land. With iron weapons they could defend it. When they arrived in Kenya, they brought agriculture, metalworking and dozens of languages that would eventually become Kikuyu, Kamba, Luhya, Gusii and more. Kenya's interior would never be the same.
